AlkaStream Alkaline Water Ionizer **Special Deal
AlkaStream alkaline water filter is comprised of 8 filter layers that turn ordinary tap water into the cleanest possible water and an ocean of antioxidants. The water received (ORP -300) is completely safe and chemical-free and helps to optimize your acid/alkaline balance.
How it Works
AlkaStream’s unique water is created through 8 layers of filtration and energizing media working synergistically. The process is based off of scientifically proven research by Dr. Hidemitsu Hayashi, Director of the Water Institute of Japan. For a full breakdown of each layer and their functions please see below:
8. Neodymium Magnetic Field to stabilize the IONIC charge and reduced molecular size.
7. Catalytic Carbon and KDF to improve final taste and remove unwanted non-beneficial trace elements.
6. Trace Minerals and Far Infrared ceramics adds more than 70 beneficial trace elements.
5. Energizing Media creates anti-oxidants and reduces the size of water molecules thereby increasing hydration.
4. KDF and Magnesium in an activated carbon media removes heavy metals such as lead and mercury and creates free hydrogen.
3. Catalytic Carbon reduces organic contaminants, color, odor, taste, pesticides, THMs, chlorine and VOCs.
2. Ion Exchange Media (NSF approved) reduces hard water and neutralizes fluoride. NSF is a non-profit organization which promotes and supports research and education in the sciences.
1. Ceramic Filter Membrane stops all sediment, and bacteria over 0.2 micron in size.
Frequently Asked Questions
How well does the alkaStream improve pH?
In a special laboratory created ‘witches’ brew’ of pesticides, volatile organics, fluoride chlorine, and minerals, the alkaStream changed an input pH of 6.5 to an output pH 9.5. This was in a controlled laboratory setting, and as we know, real life is never like that. The alkaStream’s pH performance is again directly related to the input water. Fortunately, tap water is the only regulated water in the US and is right around 7.0 for most homes. The alkaStream performs wonderfully in this environment and will consistently produce water ranging from 8.5-9.5. Most commonly, the water starts at 9.5 at installation, and by the time the filter needs to be replaced, it measures closer to 8.5.
There are a couple of other advantages as well. In hard water with excessive levels of alkaline minerals (like an over abundance of calcium), the alkaStream will reduce these minerals and then re-infuse the water with lower, healthier levels and proportions of alkaline minerals (as well as micro clustering and ionizing the water).
Those who utilize well water will also see great performance. Very often, well water starts a bit above 7.0 and this can also translate to higher pH outputs from the alkaStream as well.
Can I adjust the pH of the alkaStream water?
All of the attributes of alkaStream water can be controlled by flow rate. The faster the water flows through, the less potent it is. We recommend a flow rate around 1.0 Liters/min for the best performance. If you want a lower pH, simply increase the flow rate.
Can the alkaStream remove Fluoride?
Yes. We recommend taking a look at the lab report, found HERE.
Are there any precautions before drinking alkaStream water?
The only “negative” consideration is for those taking pharmaceutical medicine. Because the alkaStream water is delivered to the cells quicker than tap or bottled, we recommend not taking any medications with it. Stop drinking 30 minutes prior to popping the pill(s) and the wait until at least 30 minutes after.
How much alkaStream water should I drink?
This depends on a number of variables. The normal recommendation is 1/2 of your body weight in ounces a day. So if you weigh 150 lbs, you should drink 75 oz of water. If you work out, if it’s hot and you’re sweating more, if you fly, if you have a soda/coffee/tea, then you should drink more. All of those things speed the elimination of water and we therefore need more.
The minimum should be half our weight a day (in ounces) and we work up from there.
How long will a filter last?
An alkaStream filter will last 6 months – depending, as always, on source water conditions and use. Our 6 month recommendation is based upon a family of 4, with Fluoride in their source water, who use about 2 gallons a day for drinking and cooking. If you will use less than that, your filter may last longer. More and you’ll need to replace sooner. (or contact us for some suggested pre-filter options). Filter life always depends on input water quality. The more “junk” in the water, the harder the alkaStream has to work. For the vast majority of users, 6 months of protection and performance is no problem.
When the filter is replaced (a 5 minute job ) your alkaStream returns to full filtration, pH and ORP power.
Filter performance is also dependent on how well we keep up with the monthly cleaning. The alkaStream has as its first stage, a ceramic membrane that halts sediment entry. Most filters simply let it in and replace the filter when flow slows up due to accumulated sediment. The alkaStream filter can be removed and scrubbed down with the included scouring pad to remove all sediment and restore flow. Making this a monthly habit will keep performance steady through the filter life. You can watch how we clean the alkaStream here.
How much does a replacement filter cost?
Replacement filters are $129 + shipping/handling.
Can I connect it in-line to my existing Reverse Osmosis?
Yes, the alkaStream can be connected in series with an RO system. It will add powerful alkalizing and ionizing abilities to your acidic and aggressive RO water. With that said, you could also remove the RO system completely and replace with the alkaStream.
Can I use the alkaStream if I have a whole home water softener?
Yes, the alkaStream will also work well with a water softener. Softened water is not something you want to drink or cook with, so the alkaStream is a great solution for consumption when you need to maintain soft water for appliance life, showering, etc.
Can I connect it in-line to my cold water pipe under the sink?
You sure can. If you like to connect the alkaStream this way, pick up our undersink kit as well. This will include the needed hardware and a dedicated faucet for alkaStream water. If you already have a separate faucet for drinking water, than all you need is an undersink cap. Also available in the product section of this webpage.
How long is the alkaStream’s warranty?
The warranty for the alkaStream is ONE Year for parts and labor under normal use. The warranty is non-transferable without prior inspection and approval from an alkaStream technician. Warranty, does NOT cover filters as there are too many variables in source water.
Are there any other parts I need to replace besides the filter?
Nope. There are no other moving parts or pieces to wear out. As long as you keep your alkaStream filter clean, see the manual for instructions you’ll be fine.

Under the question, “How long will a filter last?”
I read the statement: “You can watch how we clean
the alkaStream here.” There is no link to a video
demonstrating the cleaning process.
Thanks Martin for the heads up. I do all the web site work myself and sometimes miss a thing or two along the way. Let me take a look and get that fixed!
